Nvidia Announces RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090 Graphic Cards
Nvidia has announced the 3000 series Ampere GPUs…! The RTX 3090, RTX 3080, and the RTX 3070 – A huge Generational Leap, Big improvements in rasterized and ray-traced 3D rendering.
The Ampere GPU architecture will deliver a major hike in ray-tracing performance, thanks to more Tensor cores and a big performance jump over the Turing GPUs. It’s also more efficient.
Nvidia deep learning supersampling (DLSS) 2.0 utilizes AI to deliver high-resolution gaming without taking a performance hit. RTX gets a 2x performance boost which is pretty impressive. New temporal feedback techniques give you incredibly sharp image details and improved stability from frame to frame.
The RTX 3080: The Flagship Card Of The Lineup
The RTX 3080 priced at $699 is claimed to deliver up to “twice the performance of the RTX 2080”. With 10 GB of GDDR6X video memory running at 19GBPS, A perfect card for 4K enthusiasts and gamers. The GeForce RTX 3080 will be available starting Sept 17. Check out this video by digital foundry In the testing RTX 3080 had an 80% improvement over RTX 2080 in AAA titles like Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Doom Eternal, and a few others.
The RTX 3070: The Flagship Card Of The Lineup
Aggressively priced at $499, the RTX 3070 is said to be faster than the RTX 2080 Ti at less than half the price, and on average is 60 percent faster than the original RTX 2070. It is packed with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. A sweet spot for performance for gaming in 4K and 1440p resolutions at higher frame rates.
I personally think the pricing of 3070 is quite the deal. Nvidia claims that the RTX 3070 is faster than the RTX 2080 Ti, which is a pretty bold claim…!
The RTX 3090: THE NEXT TITAN
As rumored before, It features a staggering 24 GB of GDDR6 memory, all to deliver the ultimate gaming experience. The RTX 3090 can even handle 8K 60FPS gaming with ease. That’s 4 times as many pixels as 4K, and 16 times as many pixels as 1080p, for incredible levels of detail.
The RTX 3090 is aimed at workstations rather than for gaming. The RTX 3090 is expected to be as much as 50% faster than the RTX Titan based on Turing architecture.
All three of the RTX 30-series graphics cards feature HDMI 2.1 ports, so they can support 4K at up to 120 fps and 8K at up to 60 fps over HDMI
AMD is in trouble….!While AMD’s Big Navi is speculated to be revealed in September, AMD Big Navi needs to bring a lot of value to the graphics card table. If it can do that at a good price, then AMD could be onto a winner. Even if AMD Navi can’t beat a GeForce RTX 3080, it could steal the show by undercutting the competition while coming as close as possible in performance.
With stuff like DLSS, RTX, and aggressive pricing. This generation feels like it is going to be an insane price war. Learn more about the Nvidia 3000 series here.
