“The Witcher” A monster-hunting Geralt of Rivia created by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski as part of a magazine’s short story competition, way back in the mid-’80s and turned it into a successful and much-loved fantasy book series. Witchers are beast hunters who develop supernatural abilities at a young age to battle wild beasts and monsters.

CD Projekt Red has developed The first game, titled The Witcher, and published by Atari in 2007. The Novels lay a foundation for the Witcher Game series, and they continue the saga, as the character actions from the book are reflected in the game. The gameplay and graphics of the first Witcher experience are quite outdated. But where it lacks in polished modern visuals the game makes up in telling a Great Story. It is the beginning of a great series and a landmark of a great game studio.
